Lacrosse Program for SUMMER 2015: Boys 5th and 6th Grade Travel Team
Many 5th and 6th grade players around the country play lacrosse during the Spring and well into the Summer season. By combining this extra play with a focus on skills development, Woodstock Travel will help young players prepare for the next level of lacrosse. In addition, they will learn the essential elements of hard-work, team-work, and fun.
The Program:
Players - Will be invited to join the “Travel” team through a tryout system. Formal summer tryouts will be held in early May to give every player the opportunity to make the team.
Practices - 2 times per week at the Pomfret School Field running from June 16th to mid-August. The focus will be on developing the individual skills that develop top level lacrosse players while, at the same time, working on lacrosse decision making and strategies.
Tournaments - 2 to 3 tournaments with a focus on challenging competition. Tournaments will be announced in early April.
Camps – The team will find a camp and negotiate a group rate; however, attendance is not required
