Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga is a less intense, non-strenuous, quiet, meditative yoga with therapeutic poses. This class is appropriate for those who want a softer, relaxing, slower paced yoga.  All poses are approached with gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus and breath.  Ideal for people with injuries. 


About the Instructor, Tomoko
Tomoko grew up in Japan in the ancient town, Kamakura, known for Zen temples. She then came to New York, studied at Columbia University on a master program in art history and literature. She now resides in Woodstock. Tomoko has been practicing Yoga since 1997, her teachings of Yoga focus on a thorough and intelligent application of alignment, a flowing style of Vinyasa with emphasis on alignment and she encourages students to find space and body awareness.
Tomoko believes Yoga practice is beneficial for everyone, regardless of gender, age or flexibility. Her teaching offers variations enabling students of all levels to expand their practice and disband their boundaries.
